How many nets do commercial fishing boats fish with?
On some pictures commercial fishing vessels have nets on big winches on the transom and also booms like shrimpers what nets are used for what kind of fishing?

The net is on the winch at the aft deck area, the booms are used to keep the purse open until it is time to retrieve it. Some vessels use large steel plates called doors to keep the mouth of the purse open. Each type of fishing vessel will use a slightly different method of using their nets.
