Outboards what do you think?
Do you like 2 stroke or 4 stroke?
2 strokes are lighter
more acceleration and at top line more
but they pollute and are very noisy
less expensive
4 stokes are very heavy
less polluting
more fuel efficient
more expensive and harder to find parts
I want to get a 14 foot Jon boat and i can’t weight it down so i want a 2 stroke but i really don’t know please help
But i don’t know which one to get!
Any suggestions?
Thanks you guys!

You only need a 5hp motor. Don’t get overcome by all the tech specs on large engines. If you don’t like the noise, just get an electric trolling motor. Jon boats are not built for speed, but for stability and the ability to be beached and to go through just a few inches of water in swamps, not for big lakes with waves.
Just get a 5 hp 2-stroke that uses a 50:1 mix and you will not see any pollution.

Dan
