Can i repaint my boat trailer, with some cheap exterior paint from a hardware store?
i have a 1987 16′ spartan roller boat trailer, i don’t have a lot of money to spend on some good marine paint so i was wondering if i could buy some wheather excelled paint from like a hardware store or something, and avoid rust for a long time to come

I assume this isn’t a wooden trailer. Painting metal is more difficult than painting a house. Metal tends to not want to hold paint and if you just put it on, it will peal off quickly. Use an automotive primer and paint.
